במה דברים אמורים ברה"ר ובחצר שאינה של שניהן אבל ברשות מוכר לא קנה עד שיגביהנה או עד שיוציאנה מרשותו ברשות לוקח כיון שקבל עליו מוכר קנה לוקח ברשות הלה המופקדים אצלו לא קנה עד שיקבל עליו או עד שישכור את מקומן

but if the measure was [the property] of one of them, he [whose measure it is] acquires successive possession of every single unit of the quantity as soon as it is put in.<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' Lit., 'he acquires first, first'. ');"><sup>16</sup></span> These laws, [furthermore], apply to a reshuth harabbim and to a courtyard which belongs to neither of them,<span class="x" onmousemove="('comment',' And no permission for the purpose was obtained from the owner of the yard.
